Privacy Policy
Emir Law & Consulting presents this privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") in its capacity as data controller in order to inform you regarding the protection of the personal data of its clients, business partners and other third parties with whom it has relationships, as well as the ensuring of data privacy and security.
This Privacy Policy has been prepared within the framework of Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") with respect to your personal data (any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, such as your name, address, telephone number and email address) ("Personal Data") that has been submitted and/or collected in connection with the submission of proposals for litigation and legal process follow-up, preparation of legal reports and other legal services, establishment of advisory agreements and/or performance of advisory agreements, and the conduct of recruitment processes. This Privacy Policy has been prepared for the purpose of fulfilling the disclosure obligation of Emir Law & Consulting as the "Data Controller". Emir Law & Consulting holds the status of data controller within the scope of KVKK with respect to the processing of Personal Data. Personal Data may be processed and stored by Emir Law & Consulting in compliance with KVKK and the legislation concerning the protection of personal data.
Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Your personal data are processed by Emir Law & Consulting, the data controller, in accordance with Article 20 of the Constitution of the Republic of Türkiye and Article 4 of KVKK, for the following purposes:
- Provision of services you have requested in line with your needs,
- Planning of commercial and/or legal business strategies,
- Client meetings, advisory proposals, preparation of legal reports and review of proposals for other legal services conducted within our law firm,
- Management of the information security process,
- Establishment and/or performance of the legal advisory agreement,
- Management of client relationship processes,
- Management of contract processes and determination and verification of the signing authority of the parties signing the relevant documents,
- Recording and arrangement, whether on paper or in electronic media, of identity, address, tax number and other information necessary for the identification of the owners and addressees of all transactions,
- Provision of information to competent courts, enforcement offices, institutions and/or organisations,
- Evaluation of candidates in recruitment processes,
- Provision of information on developments in the legal world and legislative updates.
Your data may be processed for these purposes.
Methods and Legal Grounds for the Collection of Personal Data
Personal Data are collected by Emir Law & Consulting through a variety of means and channels, verbally, in writing or electronically, primarily for the purposes of legal advisory, litigation and legal process follow-up, preparation of legal reports and submission of proposals for other legal services, and/or the establishment of advisory agreements with Emir Law & Consulting and/or the performance of advisory agreements, in line with the purposes set out above and on the legal basis of enabling Emir Law & Consulting to fully and accurately fulfil its responsibilities arising from contracts and laws. Personal Data collected on these legal grounds may be processed and transferred by Emir Law & Consulting in accordance with the fundamental principles stipulated by KVKK and the conditions and purposes for processing personal data set out in Articles 5 and 6 of KVKK, for the purposes specified in this notice.
Processing of Personal Data
Emir Law & Consulting shall collect Personal Data only for specific, explicit and lawful purposes and may store them for the periods required by the purposes of processing Personal Data as explained in the relevant section above. Emir Law & Consulting shall not process Personal Data in a manner incompatible with the purposes for which they were collected as set out in KVKK and this Privacy Policy, and upon the disappearance of the reasons necessitating their processing, shall, subject to mandatory retention requirements under law, delete, destroy or anonymise them ex officio or upon the request of the data subject.
Transfer of Personal Data
Your Personal Data may be transferred, in compliance with Article 8 of the Law, to business partners, attorneys, competent courts and/or enforcement offices and public institutions and organisations located within Türkiye, for the purposes of realising the Purposes of Processing Personal Data set out in this Privacy Policy and, additionally, the data processing purposes specified below, including for the purposes of legal and financial audits. Furthermore, your personal data may be transferred by Emir Law & Consulting, directly or indirectly, in accordance with Article 9 of KVKK, to third parties abroad from which it receives or plans to receive advisory, support or legal services, to other third parties from which it receives or plans to receive advisory, support or services on other matters (including cloud computing service providers whose servers may be located in various countries), and to legally authorised institutions and organisations, within the framework of the specified conditions and purposes for personal data processing.
All necessary technical and administrative measures are taken by Emir Law & Consulting in the event of the transfer of your personal data within Türkiye or abroad. In addition, commitments are obtained from third parties to whom data is transferred that they have also taken the necessary technical and administrative measures.
Rights of the Data Subject
Article 20 of the Constitution of the Republic of Türkiye provides that everyone has the right to be informed about their personal data, and Article 11 of KVKK provides that the right to "request information" is among the rights of the Personal Data subject. In this context, Emir Law & Consulting provides the necessary information when the data subject requests it, and through this Privacy Policy informs the data subject about how the right to request information is exercised and how information requests are evaluated.
Data subjects have the following rights under KVKK:
- To learn whether their Personal Data have been processed,
- To request information if their Personal Data have been processed,
- To learn the purpose of the processing of their Personal Data and whether they are being used in accordance with that purpose,
- To know the third parties to whom their Personal Data have been transferred, whether within Türkiye or abroad,
- To request the rectification of their Personal Data if they have been processed incompletely or inaccurately,
- To request the deletion/destruction of their Personal Data within the framework of the conditions set out in Article 7 of KVKK and to request notification of the third parties to whom their Personal Data have been transferred in this regard,
- To object to the emergence of a result to their detriment through analysis of their processed data exclusively by automated systems,
- To request compensation for damages in the event that their Personal Data have been processed in violation of KVKK.
Data subjects hold these rights.
Data Subject Applications

In the event that the conclusion of such requests entails an additional cost, a fee determined by the Personal Data Protection Board tariff may be charged to the applicant by Emir Law & Consulting.
